DAY 11 / 100
I restarted the 100 pushups and 200 situps programs that I have not thought about since my leg broke a year ago. Base rate was 7 pushups and 30 situps, so I started with week 1: 6 - 6 - 4 - 4 - max>5 pushups http://hundredpushups.com/week1.html 15 - 18 - 10 - 10 - max >14 situps http://www.twohundredsitups.com/week1.html Couldn’t work out how to get a pic with my phone, because it doesn’t cooperate with taking pics of yourself at a distance lol… talked Wombat into taking a pic for me but then it got deleted in transit… so as not to have a blank spot in my mosaic, and since I did the exercise, I am using the photo I took last week when I did 7 pushups for the first time…

Day 10/100
Wooohooooo! 10 Day Streak!!! First line of my exercise mosaic is filled in :D Lacking in inspiration today, and wanted to do cardio… but had no time to myself and didn’t feel like much after running yesterday, which I am not used to… so I told the kids they couldn’t catch me Nya Nya Nya-nya NYA! and played a few games of chase with them… then later when we stopped by the playground (after paying the mechanic to keep working on Nixie… there goes my savings lol) instead of sitting on the bench I swang, I climbed the rope ladder, I slid down the slippery dip and I generally played as hard as the boys did. Apparently it was a good upper body workout because my arms are sore now :D Photo from my phone… but Yeti (along with spending a fortune on parts for my car) approved me buying a Canon Powershot A2200, which was posted yesterday. Hope it has an automatic timer setting :P

Daily Exercise Photo Proof Day 9 What a day! Bitterly cold wind always makes me grumpy. I tried to cheer up by taking the kids out with the kite… flying a kite is always frustrating here because it is so gusty. One minute the kite will be tearing itself apart, the next it will be plummeting into the ground again. I had some fun taking pictures, though… until I put the kite down, and put my camera on top of it… I told myself it was a stupid thing to do… but the boys don’t listen to me anymore, and it seems now I don’t even listen to myself, because I did it anyway… then the wind caught the kite, and the camera went onto the ground, and you can guess the rest. My daily exercise photo proof is going to be a lot harder to manage now my camera has permanent lens failure :( I can’t even afford to replace it for a while because I am in the middle of getting Nixie (my car) fixed up so she doesn’t squeak or throw petrol away anymore… then Munchkin tipped a bottle of tea-tree oil over his face, into his eyes and into his mouth… uggh… no permanent damage thank goodness… then he started to self-destruct arguing with Wombat, half an hour before we were due at soccer training… so I took him off to bed for an emergency naptime, and thankfully managed to get him to sleep before it was time for Wombat and I to leave… I packed my music and a headband, just in case, thinking I MIGHT get a run… got to soccer and it was FREEZING. My friend looked at me, told me I looked worn out and weary, and started to ask about how much work I was doing and whether I was burning out. The mothers were all huddled on the cement apron, keeping out of the wind and absorbing the last warmth from the brick wall. I almost settled down with them to spend 30 minutes complaining to my friend… then I noticed another lady was walking around the field. That was new! I’d already mentioned a few times that I was thinking of running during training. I thought of my sister doing her own aqua aerobics routine near my niece’s swimming class while all the other mothers watched. I excused myself, got up and got started :D Week 5 day 2 - DONE!!! When I finished some of the other mums commented that I made them feel lazy and told me to go for it… and I felt FANTASTIC and FULL OF ENERGY… all the grumps had been run away from and my mood was completely turned around :D I had to snap my proof picture with my phone after the event, but I DID IT!!!

DAY 8
Did the Killer 550 Bodyworks routine again this morning… my favourite KICKARSE preparation for a day in the office lol… Did 330 (30 x 11) this time WOOOOHOOO!!! Next week I’m aiming for 385 (35 x 11)!!! I love that it is strength, toning and cardio all in one workout… that it is killer hard but you can really feel yourself improving… that the superfit woman in the video took rests and puffed and panted so I know it’s ok for me to do the same… and that even if I can only do three reps and then need to rest, as soon as I can move again I keep coming back until I complete the number I have set myself, because I am determined to get to 550 and then start timing myself like superfit woman did! YAY for motivation :D :D :D

DAY 7
Found an old thighmaster in Council Cleanup… disinfected it, downloaded a routine… tried it out… loved it for a full body challenge :D The playroom was SO messy this morning I couldn’t bear to photograph it, so I took the new toy outside with me when I gave Tiffany her pee-on-a-tree break… she thinks I am crazy! particularly since it was THIS kind of morning (see below… this was three hours AFTER the photo above - we picked this ice up out of one of the buckets… FROSTY!!!!!)

DAY 7

Found an old thighmaster in Council Cleanup… disinfected it, downloaded a routine… tried it out… loved it for a full body challenge :D

The playroom was SO messy this morning I couldn’t bear to photograph it, so I took the new toy outside with me when I gave Tiffany her pee-on-a-tree break… she thinks I am crazy! particularly since it was THIS kind of morning (see below… this was three hours AFTER the photo above - we picked this ice up out of one of the buckets… FROSTY!!!!!)

I just wanted to tell all you girls that are under 25 how amazing I think you are for already learning to do this the healthy way! It took me 32 years to realize I could do this without any fads, starving myself or diet pills. You are all strong minded, beautiful young ladies and you should be so proud of yourselves!

Make that 37 years for me! I’ve been there and done the ED thing (it was IBS and stress, but I also felt the allure of being super thin. My bones stuck out through my skin; my breasts were empty flaps. It was NOT a good look.) Sleek and muscled? Fit and strong? Now there’s the look I’m going to take into middle age and that’s going to make me an old old old and very happy lady :D Just can’t work out why I wasted my 20s being a sick sad stick with no energy. Eating right and getting moving was what chased the IBS away - and the only cure for the gestational diabetes that came with the overweight backswing that followed it!!! Don’t PLAY with your body like it’s some meaningless toy! Play WITH your body because it’s your best friend. If you are under 25 and already doing this, YAY you - YOU ARE AWESOME :D If you are over 25 and doing this right for the first time - FANTASTIC! WE CAN DO THIS!!!

Daily Exercise Photo Proof  - DAY 6
The UV Project: 6/1- 6/5 (report back Monday 6/6… well, it’s stil’ Monday in the US lol) THIS IS YOUR [SUMMER] WINTER!!!!!!! ***Exercise: ***What can you do? If you can’t see yourself (insert exercise here) every day, you shouldn’t be doing it to lose weight in the first place. Hah - not sure I agree with this… I can’t see me doing ANY THING every day. Boredom is my biggest motivation killer… something different every day, though? Now there’s a fun challenge :P Get out and moooooove? Now THAT I can agree with! ***Get out and mooooove: ***What do you love to do for cardio? Get out and move a little each day, and do some serious cardio at least twice. How many minutes/what was the intensity for the past 5 days? (keep track for next week!) I love to run for cardio, but I don’t get to do it whenever I want… There was a 15 minute run on Thursday, 30 minutes soccer on Saturday, 20 minutes step ups and hill climbs in the bush on Sunday, making 65 minutes in all. ***Work your muscles: ***Lower Body/Upper body/Core or a mix- Try to fit in 2 days of ST before Monday and tell us about it. (keep track of reps/weight for next week) Wednesday was the Bodyworks 550 Killer Routine, and I did 275 (25 x 11). Sunday I did 10 minutes of rock lifting lol… Monday I did some basic ST (photo proof above): Plank (forearms) = 1 min 10 sec Sit - ups (anchored) = 30 Pushups (real!!!) = 7 Pushups (wall) = 30 ***Food: ***If you’ve never tracked a bite of food, it’s time to start! It doesn’t need to be perfect but losing weight is a science. Tracking food (whether you go over or not) is vital to getting fit and healthy. Been tracking every day. Was shocked at how many empty extra calories had crept in… have reigned them back now and am loving the convenience of the new tracker design. ***Water: ***Drink it! It hydrates you, curbs hunger, and makes your skin look fabulous! Have trouble remembering? Buy a 32 ouncer (Nalgene, Camelbak, etc) and fill, drink, repeat. Congrats on drinking 8 glasses! Done - 3 litres a day! Munchkin even took photo proof while playing with my camera in the bush
